With my colleagues Phoebe & Tom from Flickbook Theatre and Charlie from Open Plan, I ran the Lincoln Mash Up for nearly 4 years – a monthly informal social / networky gathering for Lincoln-based arts professionals and creative types. The MashUps were  always free (usually with some free food too) and were designed to get creative people talking and sharing ideas and thoughts.
