About

Mr Holly FaviconHello!

I am a freelance creative producer & arts management professional, with 30 years experience in the sector, including 10 years as Director of Lincoln Drill Hall, which for many years was an independent Arts Council funded multi-use arts venue.

I am based in Lincolnshire and work predominantly within the East Midlands on a range of arts festivals and creative initiatives. Recent / upcoming projects include Spilsby Light Night, Horncastle Horse Fair and Lightwaves, Lincolnshire’s East Coast Light Night with Sessions Arts, Bright Winter Nights with Junction Arts, Frequency Festival & Lincoln Lights with Threshold Studios, A Perfect Day disability festival near Grimsby and also  Peterborough Celebrates, a family friendly community engagement festival held at Ferry Meadows in the city during May and organised by Nene Park Trust. I am also working with Lincoln Arts Centre on a UK wide VEDay80 initiative called Our Freedom: Then & Now.

My work with the SessionsArts creative team is part of the Spilsby Sessions House building project which is undergoing a £5m refurbishment. SessionsArts is currently funded by Arts Council England and its mission is to unlock joy!

I own and manage the AntiGravity Box, a family-friendly installation that is available to hire for events and festivals and have also recently launched Mr Holly’s Newton-O-Matic, a new street engagement piece that was delivered in partnership with Threshold Studios through the Lincoln Connected programme and both of which are likely to feature locally in the run up to 2027 and the 300th anniversary of Isaac Newton’s death.

I have considerable experience in arts management, specifically arts education and festival, venue & project management and I would describe myself as energetic, empathetic and diplomatic. I am passionate about collaborative and partnership working and engaging young people and communities in the arts and try at all times to be a nice bloke. I am also currently on the Advisory Board of MBD in Leicester.
